Progressive Caucus?

What do you think of when you hear or read the word progressive? A borrowed thirty something year old Webster’s Dictionary says, in part:

progressive adj, 1. of, relating to, or characterized by progress or progression 2. moving forward or onward : advancing

Nothing particularly negative or objectionable about progress, is there? What about your reaction to the word caucus? Webster’s again:

caucus n, a closed meeting of a group of persons belonging to the same political party or faction usually to select candidates or decide on policy

That is the stuff that political movements are made of – right? No big problem here, so far. What about Progressive Caucus? Wait – more Webster’s:

progressive n, 1. one that is progressive 2. one believing in moderate political change and especially social improvement by government action

We have here a couple of fairly harmless sounding words, presumably intended to convey some meaning. If we adopt the definition of progressive based on it being a noun, we should begin to become concerned about this business of government action. We have all come to realize that excessive government action is very expensive in terms of both our liberties and our financial resources!

Obviously, there is something called The Progressive Caucus. Patriotic Americans, you need to know exactly who the Progressive Caucus is. There are about 58 of them, and they are all members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Boys and girls, that is thirteen and one third percent of that legislative body. The Progressive Caucus works hand-in-hand with The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and in concert with a consortium of socialist organizations called The Progressive Challenge. They are all working diligently and continuously to socialize America; then, they plan to dump it onto the trash-heap of World Socialist Democracy. How do we know this? Simply trigger the web links noted above, and have a look for yourself. You will probably be as astounded as we were when we read their publicly stated positions. When you suffer through their diatribe, you will notice the following:

DSA proudly proclaims that they are the largest socialist organization in the United States.
They drum tirelessly on the flawed utopian concepts of democracy, equality, values, justice, order, security and on, and on, and on.
They tout a Youth Section, presumably designed to promote their socialist beliefs with the younger generations.

Is it not quite frightening to think that these people plan to stage an ideological attack on the younger generations, who are, in many cases already suffering in an emotional and intellectual wasteland created by socialists and liberals over the past forty years, and further submit them to more socialist trash?

While you visit their web, look at their sponsored legislation and their agenda. Here are a few examples:

	A joint resolution amendment to the U.S. Constitution (H.J. Res 61) to clarify the meaning of the Second Amendment as follows: The right enumerated in the second article of the amendments to the Constitution of the United States shall be construed as a right of States and not individuals.
	A bill to secure the voting rights of former felons who have been released from incarceration.
	Make college loans available to all.
	Provide funds for drug treatment on demand.
	Require that a portion of bank and S&L capital be set aside for affordable housing.
	Raise the minimum wage.
	Institute Canadian-style health care reform.
	Prevent pollution throughout the production cycle and make corporations accountable for all clean-up costs.
	Support meaningful global democracy, human rights, and demilitarization.

And amazingly, the answer to the ‘How would we pay for it?’ question:

	Reduce defense spending by fifty percent; and,
	Institute a progressive tax system by lowering payroll taxes and restoring the highest tax bracket to its 1977 level.

We could write an extensive critical review of this madness that would likely tire us both. Rather let us note that the programs and agenda of The Progressive Caucus simply amounts to a legislative money grab, a legislative power grab, followed closely by a planned and systematic destruction of our great nation.

If this all sounds like a made-up bad dream, consider how the living nightmare resulting from an accomplishment of the aims of The Progressive Caucus and DSA will look. Do spend a little time reviewing their position; they are your enemy. Simply trigger the links and have a look. If any of these people are your elected representative, you must do what ever it takes to defeat them at the earliest possible moment.

Our Nation is a Constitutional Republic and we Americans must understand this is the only superior form of government. The typical talk of the day suggests that many believe that the government form in America is a Democracy. Wrong!! And, furthermore, we don’t want one; democracies have a bad habit of deteriorating to mob rule in the streets. Recently, we heard it put succinctly in the following comparison:

Democracy – Three wolves and two sheep voting on dinner.

Republic – Three wolves and two sheep appointing a committee to decide on dinner.

Constitutional Republic (of our type) – Three wolves and two sheep with a law against voting on dinner; and the sheep are armed.
